Wilbert Heavylifter WT 1905L special version
Rental application at Kebag, Switzerland via our partner Kaufmann Turmkrane AG
KEBAG AG has been recycling waste from the cantons of Solothurn and Bern for over 40 years. In the next five years, a new waste utilization plant will be built in the canton of Solothurn, which will be realized using state-of-the-art technology and will be committed to the consistent recycling of waste, the sustainable generation of energy and the secure supply of district heating to the region.
The new plant will replace the existing plant in 2025, which is reaching its age limit. As before, 221,000 metric tons of waste will be recycled annually in the new plant. Thanks to new plant technology, 15 percent more energy can be recovered from this volume of waste in the future. Metal recovery will also be expanded, making the plant significantly more efficient. Additional filters ensure that virtually no more pollutants are released.
A Wilbert crane of the type WT 1905L e.tronic is in use for the assembly of the two furnace lines of KEBAG AG. The detailed deployment concept was developed and implemented by Kaufmann Turmkrane AG in accordance with KEBAG's specifications.
The crane was mounted on a concrete stair tower, in which a special anchor was installed, for the steel construction work to be carried out. The lifting capacity at the top of the 78-meter jib is 19 tons, and the maximum lifting capacity is 48 tons up to 30 meters radius.
Due to the foundation height of 52m and a tower height of 30m, an erection concept had to be developed in which the erection weights were adapted. With the hydraulic cantilevering of the counter jib as well as the two-part assembly of the jib, the assembly could ultimately be implemented with a 500-ton mobile crane with luffing jib. Otherwise, a significantly larger mobile crane would have been necessary.
The assembly team of Kaufmann Turmkrane AG was able to assemble the crane in the planned time despite the adjustments in the assembly sequence. This crane is currently the strongest crane in use in Switzerland.
