The power plant
After a multi-year construction period, a state-of-the-art power station with two blocks and a total output of 1,560 MW was commissioned directly on the border of Germany and the Netherlands in June 2015. Each block operates an ultra-supercritical steam generator with an efficiency rate of 46 %.
The convenient location of the 5-hectare premises on the waterfront near Groningen makes it easier to access raw materials and cooling water for the power plant that can also burn biomass content.
The project
A total of nine WILBERT luffing jib cranes were used in this construction project:
1× WT 335L e.tronic, 2× WT 905L e.tronics and 6× WT 2405L e.tronics. In this case, the particular challenge was planning for the D50 wind region and the mobile use of the WT 335L e.tronic on a 44 m high bunker.
